Laboratory Technician

The Role:
- Be a part of the quality control department by using scientific knowledge skill set and by assisting the Chemist into day-to-day operations in the laboratory and production area.
- Clean Laboratory Glassware and assure all are in good condition
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment use to perform analytical test.
- Quality Control testing of finished products, raw materials, in-process materials, fully formulated samples, new supplier samples and environmental samples to support plant operations
- Maintain good housekeeping in and safety in the laboratory
- Comply with manufacturer and company requirements with hazardous substances.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies and relevant legislation.
- Abide by EH&S policies and procedures
- Assisting in other reasonable duties to assist the overall company’s success
- Decanting + Manual lifting
Criteria:
- Minimum 6 months experience in a similar role
- Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques (Minimum requirement)
- HPLC experience
- GC experience
- Particle Size experience
- Formulation process
- Strong in managing self, team relationships and work processes
- Skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- High Risk Forklift Licence (Desirable)
- Basic Machine Operating skills
- Fit and able to lift 20kgs
- National Police Clearance & ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol
